Sony PS3 is dying: price cut is needed
By: Peter Chubb | December 15, 2008 | 1 CommentThe sales figures for the Sony PS3 do not look that promising for the month of November, as they were down 19 percent compared to the same period last year. CNNMoney’s Silicon Alley Insider column has even gone so far as to say that the PS3 is “A sinking ship.”
Saying that the PlayStation 3 is dying is a bit harsh, but we all agree with what their conclusion is, and that is that a price cut is needed. A cut is needed soon, and it needs to be a substantive one. The article understands that the PS3 has at least a ten year lifespan, but that has not stopped it being on the brink of falling behind the Xbox 360.
The article not only talks about the high price of the Sony PlayStation 3, it also discusses the fact that no one cares about the games console being able to play Blu-ray movies. The article also covers the lack of system selling software.
