Who would have thought that Microsoft would think that the Apple iPhone is a better platform than their Windows Mobile. Well that could well be the case as the software giant has developed Seadragon Mobile, an App for the Apple iPhone.
Live Labs have worked on the new free image-browsing application, the software allows users to quickly “deep zoom” images while they are online. There are reports that Live Labs will not stop there, and have a host of other apps already in development.
Microsoft’s Tellme unit was thought to be working on a voice activated search on a number of phones including the Apple iPhone; this should be due for launch soon. You have to wonder why there is not a Windows Mobile version of Seadragon yet; one of the reasons is because the iPhone uses accelerated graphics, many cell phones running on Windows Mobile does not.
