While at Add-on Con in Mountain View CA, the closing keynote went into detail as to what the future of IE, Firefox and Chrome were. Opera did not make an appearance this year, but all eyes were on the other three, as we got to see what their plans were.
The keynote was broken down into a number of categories when discussing the future of the browsers; these include Security, Add-ons and the Browser, Proprietary Platforms on the Web and Mobile Browsing and the Open Web.
Those at Add-on Con were Joshua Allen (Microsoft), Mike Shaver (Mozilla) and Brian Rakowski (Google). The panel was being moderated by JSON creator Douglas Crockford. One of the biggest topics was with browser security, which is all the more important when we use a number of add-ons to make our browser experience even better.
