Sony PS4 to use Super Hi-Vision?
By: Alan Ng | December 11, 2008 | 4 CommentsAn article over at ps4talk.com has started a debate on whether Sony will decide to use Super Hi-Vision technology on their next console.
Super Hi-Vision was first introduced in 2003 and can perform at resolutions such as 7680 x 4320 pixels which is the same as 16 1080p screens placed together. It sounds pretty wild but imagine the PS4 be able to offer technology like that, it is quite exciting to think about all the possibilities Sony can use.
The BBC think that SHV will be reaching consumers homes in 2015, but that is seven years away from now, and we all know how fast technology is progressing at the moment.
What are your thoughts on this? Remember that experiment that Sony used for Gran Turismo using various monitors placed together? It shows that they are definitely thinking of new ideas.
