Google AdWords tailored for iPhone 3G and T-Mobile’s G1

Advertisers will now be able to use Google Adwords specifically for use for mobile phones such as the T-Mobile G1 and Apple’s iPhone 3G.
Google has announced that it would enable Adwords users to make use of the new features on phones that have full HTML browsers similarly to that on a desktop PC.
To make use of this service, Adword users will need to log into their accounts and click the ‘campaign settings’ tab. Once you have done that you need to do to the ‘device platform’ option and you can select the option for ‘iphone and other mobile devices with full internet browsers’.
Google believe it’s a step in the right direction and will have its benefits for users. On their mobile blog, they stated: “Now, advertisers will be able to display ads exclusively on these mobile devices, create campaigns for them, and get separate performance reporting. If you prefer not to show your desktop ads on these phones, you can opt out and show ads only on desktop and laptop computers.”

WOW! The opportunity to open up my G1 to adbots, spybots and SPAM. What a revolutionary idea! Now, I won’t have to wait until I get home to get junk emails and ads; I can get them everywhere I go. What’s next? Is Android going to start offering free MalWare?
