There are reports all over the Internet that Facebook has been attacked by a virulent piece of malware, which came as a surprise to users considering that Facebook use the walled-off internal e-mail system. The Koobface Video Virus managed to slip through the cracks, and has now upset the calm waters of Facebook users. Thankfully Facebook have issued some fix information for the virus.
Facebook have sent those user’s who’s accounts have been compromised all the information they need. They have reset user’s passwords as a security measure, as it is possible that a virus was downloaded on to certain user’s computers.
The user’s password could have also been stolen by a phishing website that was designed to look like Facebook. The first step that Facebook asks the user to do is, run an antivirus scan on your computer, make sure that you have the latest version of your antivirus software.

This is not correct… I contacted the Koobface virus one week ago and Facebook has not corrected this problem… none of my emails have been responded to and I have not received a new password or access to my account. I have requested access every way possible and to no avail… this is still an on-going issue and for a company like Facebook who has now positioned itself to support its users in a business to business economy, it’s complete bullshit.
What does the virus do to your computer? I watched a video of someone that I know on FB and immediately my keyboard stopped working and my computer was making crazy noises!!!
Well I watched some video, or tried and downloaded a Setup.exe file which I suspected but said that it was needed to see the funny video. So I download it and it did not load. My virus detection stopped a dozen other apps from trying to run, but one thing it did was try and email its self out to everyone in my friends on facebook.
Now I have a problem with my internet not working. Finally found a fix for FireFox but not IE. to fix firefox. Go to Tools>Options>Advanced:Network:Connection:and Direct connect to Internet or Auto-connect.
Hope this helps
