Australian company Kogan has announced that it is to launch a new phone that will be the world’s second Android phone which will be released early next year.
The phone will be called the Kogan ‘Agora’ and it also comes with an upgraded version named the Kogan ‘Agora Pro’. The phones will be available for $299 and $399 and will not be locked to any network which is good news.
As for features, the Agora will contain a 2.5” touchscreen, full QWERTY keyboard, microSD slot and 3G connectivity. The upgraded Pro version will have all the features just mentioned but with the addition of a 2MP camera, GPS and WI-FI.

Anyone know if I could use this is in the US? If so - which carrier?
GA,
The GSM (quad band 850, 900, 1800, 1900) and 3G (850, 1900, 2100) published specs are the same as ATT (US) iPHONE, so it should work fine for both voice and data.
Tmobile uses the same voice bands but different 3G (1700, 2100) bands so will work on Edge (2G) slower data network and voice only.
BTW the (2100) band they have in common is not used in USA but is used elsewhere so it will do 3G data overseas
Sprint and Verizon both use CDMA without Sim cards so no can do there.
