CES 2009: MSI netbooks with Intel MID platform
By: Peter Chubb | December 4, 2008 | Leave a CommentIt does not seem that long ago since we were talking about CES 2008, and already we are learning what will be on show for CES 2009. MSI have said that they will be showcasing their new 10.2-inch Wind Notebook U110 and U115 models.
Both models will use Intel’s Menlow platform for their mobile Internet devices (MID). The Wind Notebook U110 and U115 have recently been revealed in a number of markets; both will use the Atom Z530 processor and SCH US15W chipset.
MSI knows that the Menlow platform is much more expensive than the Intel netbook platform, but the new chipset has a lower power consumption, giving you a longer battery life. The MSI wind is not the only notebooks to use the new Intel Menlow platform, the Kojinsha mini notebook will do so also.
