Call of Duty 6 Modern Warfare 2 and Release Date

Call of Duty 5: World at War has only been on the market for a few weeks and already people are talking about the next Call of Duty game. Activision-Blizzard knew how popular Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare was when it was launched back in 2007, that they felt that it needed another visit.
Many Call of Duty fans were upset that developers, Treyarch were going back to the WWII format, as that era has now been done to death. Many gamers still love the old World War II format, but if you like all the latest weapons, then you will still be seething that a second Modern Warfare was not explored.
It seems that Activision-Blizzard have buckled under the pressure, and have announced that they are now working on Call of Duty 6 Modern Warfare 2, and is scheduled to launch in fall 2009. Now that Activision-Blizzard is back at the helm, we can expect a truly awesome sequel to a truly awesome game.

the is no doubt that cod 4 was the best fps in a long long time, imo i thought call of duty WaW could have been a lot worse, but some things make it stand out like the Nazi Zombies and Competitive Coop where cod 4 missed out on, but i still think MW2 will be better, but for all you people above silent snipers would ruin the game, the whole MP would turn into people camping, also two attatchments on one gun would probably make them over powerful, its all tactical about what you decide thats what makes it good. Also i think Cod MW2 should have something like the MP on Halo 3 where it is splitscreen online, i get pissed off if i want to play with my freinds or siblings and cant because we all have to have seperate xbox. Anyway cod 6 will be awesome.
i kinda agree with beernanolio bout dem wuzz camping xcept 4 snipers which makes it kinda of the point of sniping though some sniperz r mobile, some SNIPERS can camp stil snipers need suppressors cuz the uav jammer is jzt some a load of BS

i think that in cod6 the maps should vary in size….there should be big maps for ppl who like 2 snipe…small for those who like fast action fighting….and they shoud also try new things with the maps…..like maybe throw in 5 a story building or sumthing rite in the middle….perfect for snipers and ppl who like running around……the only problem would be being able to play s&d, ground war, stuff like that….ya know guys

CoD6 MW2 is going to be great! In my opinion CoD4 is still the best FPS (first person shooter) game out. CoD5 WaW was a dissapointment for me, i thought it might of been slightley better due to infinity ward selling the engine of CoD4 to activision. CoD WaW is just a WW2 expansion pack of CoD4. It should never have been sold as a game by itself. If Cod 4 and CoD 5 were both released on the same day CoD 4 would have sold more. CoD 6 WW2 is going to be the best yet. Hopefully not just a CoD 4 expansion pack but a new game in itself. I know infinity ward have spent this year building a new engine for CoD 6 so hopefully it will have some variety.
After all the hype with a new call of duty, I WAS EXTREMELY DISSAPOINTED with COD World at war! since owning my ps3 i have probably owned about 25 - 30 games, the only one i have left, CALL OF DUTY 4 modern warfare! Face it, nothing else out there feels or plays like cod4, the realism, shadows, sound, the list goes on! multiplayer is superb, a year on and im still hooked.
So on hearin the news of another instalment headin our way, i was thrilled, HOWEVER, On hearing the news that it was goin to be a ww2 shooter i was baffled, Why create something so spectacular and fresh (cod4) then go back to the crappy ww2 set up?
As time went on, it emerged that WAW would be using the cod4 engine, Marvelous!! couldnt wait! the only thing missin from cod4 is the excitement of new maps. i could tell you where id be getin my first kill on hs&d every time, knowing every little detail to each map! For me they coulda phuked of this ww2 shite, stuck the new maps onto cod4 as an additional download and that woulda been good enough!! How i wish they did!
Call of duty 5, in my opinion is absolute shite, people might say, its because you aint used to it, or not very good at it, i was getin 8+ kills per game on s&d, and i still thought it sucked, i left it, went back to it, left it went back to it, it still sucked. A WEEK LATER I TRADED IT IN.
What a dissapointment, any way got playin cod 4 again, bit strange at first, but boy, this is why i have my ps3, it still rules!

I just have to say to all these people saying they want all the same guns from cod4, cod4 was based on current weapons, weapons havnt changed in the last year, nor will they be much different in a year to come, (with a few exceptions) so the camel jockeys will still be using AK’s and the yanks the M4. I personally would like to see the paras involved in someway. and As for the bloke who said set it in Afgan… where do you think cod4 for was set? It was the middle east. I also think they should add in some planning aspect of the game. i.e. you get the briefing and decide what kit to take rather than told what your having. a bit like the original rainbow six
Call Of Duty World At War is just a little diversion setting up the big one COD MW2 Infinity Ward knew what they were doing, also fuck adding the new maps if i want to play overgrown or backlot i’ll just play COD4 all they need to do is just be as original in making the maps and choosing the guns and keep almost everything the same as COD4
I would like there to be a large weopon selection for all classes, assault rifles shotguns, ect.. Larger maps and selection of maps. Harder maps for snipers. A few weopons i would like to see.. 1. Steyr AUG 2. FN Five Seven 3. Glock(Any Caliber) 4. Maybe a tec9 5. PSG-1 6. m40a3 …………. I mean just make the selection vary. By the way alot of you had great ideas and i hope they take some of this into consideration.
