Call of Duty 6 Modern Warfare 2 and Release Date

Call of Duty 5: World at War has only been on the market for a few weeks and already people are talking about the next Call of Duty game. Activision-Blizzard knew how popular Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare was when it was launched back in 2007, that they felt that it needed another visit.
Many Call of Duty fans were upset that developers, Treyarch were going back to the WWII format, as that era has now been done to death. Many gamers still love the old World War II format, but if you like all the latest weapons, then you will still be seething that a second Modern Warfare was not explored.
It seems that Activision-Blizzard have buckled under the pressure, and have announced that they are now working on Call of Duty 6 Modern Warfare 2, and is scheduled to launch in fall 2009. Now that Activision-Blizzard is back at the helm, we can expect a truly awesome sequel to a truly awesome game.

Yep….no doubt about it that its gonna be a brilliant game. i wish that they could add some extra maps for online in cod6 from cod4 like shipment, crossfire, bog, crash & ambush & maybe backlot. that would be so so so cool. & maybe add all of the weapons too from cod4 into cod6. if they do that, trust me no1 would be disappointed with that game cause it will still feel like cod4 & everyone will like it more than cod4 cause it has all the good maps from cod4 & all the weapons from cod4. i wish they to that!!!!!!!!!!!! but i don’t expect anything but brilliance in cod6, infinity ward again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ye baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol imagine treyach makes cod7 a WW2 game again, lol i would honestly email activison & swear at them so so bad!!!!!!!!!!
Come on now think about some of the help we gave them, We donwloaded programs and created maps for them that we have yet to see.
I agree with the only throw back game after 6 should move up in time.I can’t wait for the release I am ok with codwaw but cod4 is much better, and I hope cod6 blows cod4 away.
If they did all of that we might as well just all play cod 4 and 5 sucked ww2 is not more realistic than 4 they are both realistic. Just depends if you can hang with the big dogs with better guns.

You’re an idiot if you think COD WAW has better multiplayer than CoD4. Treyarch copied the engine that Infinity Ward used and made tiny adjustments. Not much of an improvement to me. WW2 does get boring when the last 3 games(not including CoD4) are of the same thing with a little of multiplayer change and change of the names of the people in the campaign.
CoD 4 was the best of the best. Before CoD WaW, there was nothing to compete against. Which is better? I’d say 4 because of the modern weapons and the tactics. Although WaW does win in graphics. Overall, both games are good. But I’d rather play 4 any day.

WAW is a great game. graphics are so much better than 4. everything is so much more realistic. everyone just doesnt like it because the guns arent as easy to use as they are in four so the people try it out and get raped so they cry like girls and post stuff on the internet saying how gay of a game it is. cant wait to see the new additions in MW2 though.

Actually you’re dumb. In World At War the number of pixels was reduced resulting in a much clearer picture on both HD and regular TVs. You might be a gold cross but I am a programmer so “I know which graphics are better”.

Cod 5 WaW In my opinion is better cause I like relistice games and hard challenging games,cod 4 was alright but alot of it was bull shit and easy alot of gamers want easy games which makes em pussys. Cod 4 was over done with the helicopter and WTF since when dose any gun shoot through 2 meter walls. Cod 5 you can shoot through wood not fucken 2 meter steel or concert walls which makes cod 5 better to me games are to challenge you if you can’t Handel the challenge of cod 5 don’t wright it’s shit when it’s awsome. while in real life, the .50 BMG rifles that Barrett makes are far Superior to a Mosin Nagant. if you were shot in the right place by either, you would die! the way the Barrett worked in COD4 was so unrealistic. can someone explain how you accurately shoot a 40 pound gun standing. not to mention that there are no visible signs of recoil when shooting it. COD4 was completely unrealistic.

COD 4 was one of the greatest games of all time…if u wanted a 1 shot kill with the barret simply play on hardcore mode. Graphics wise, il admit cod WAW was good, however, when it came to online game play cod 4 rocked it all. COD 6 is going to be insane with better graphics than WAW and better game play, both online and campaign, than cod 4 :]

Modern Warfare is not easy above all. Well, it is easy ON THE EASY MODES. TRY PLAYING ON VETERAN DUMB. I know you can not and did not play Modern Warfare on Veteran since youre saying WaW is harder and more realistic.
Play sky high on veteran, if you can hack it the first time, then thats when you can call the game easy, until then, go suck on ur mommies teetees.

that is very true and it doesent get boring after a while i never use to play video games so much before i got WAW i have play ALOT ive had the game for about 2 weeks and i am 2 prestige levl 30 i like both of the games CoD 4 and WAW people dont like it because they tttthink that because the guns look cooler the game isent any good. including the snipers all of them in CoD 4 are auto in WAW all of them exept for 1 (PTRS) are not there all bolt action. the only difrence between the two games are the weapons the maps and the story. the perks are all the same eexept for the vechiles. oh thats another thing i dont really like WAW because of the tanks. there a lil to cheap. In all honesty you are completely retarted who in god’s name could possibly say CoD5 was better the weapons were horrible the maps were horrible the only reason I bought the game was for Nazi Zombies which if you don’t have the map pack isn’t even that good. Biggest point for me is the flare/flashbang change if you were a good player in CoD4 you knew how to use your flashbangs in CoD5 that was completely erased because even if thrown around a corner you would still be blinded. Another huge point which I’m sure everyone is hoping to return CAMO on your guns! (In CoD6 supposedly you can create your own camo for your guns and uniform unconfirmed) Also Michael Myers which was not a personal favorite but many people enjoyed it was eliminated through perks such as shades and gasmask. No-scope battles were eliminated now that you could take the scope off of your sniper rifle and the PTRS can hit someone from 20-30 feet away accuratly. CoD5 was a horrible game in general for anyone who was any good at the game.

Wat we need in cod 6 is a way to destroy the map in multiplayer. For example u can blow apart walls with grenades and knock down houses with RPG’s. Also create-a-map would be cool.

Modern is great because, There are so many weapons that you haven even seen in cod4 the are modern. And i say that a better Sprint would be adapted into the game. I meen Marines can sprint out any Terrist dumbass any day. But no, they have to be the same speed. And what why is it that when you get a 15 kill streak and then your going…. all hat for nothing? i mean they need something to get on a 15 or a 10 kill streak. like you can bring in backup and 5 tanks roll in for 30 seconds or somthing
First, WW1 would have many trenches/tunnels and would be around the world… (that is usually why its called world war 1) Second, 5 tanks and there wouldn’t be a battlefield left, just a pile of ruble (now I see how you get your kills, bet you never go without a noob tube or aimbot either)
COD 4 is defiantly my favorite game, however WAW was also a very good game. It takes skill to use weapons that don’t basically aim themselves. In response to your sprint statement, the problem with that is, in multiplayer, NO ONE would play a certain team when that team has a pile of handicaps. I know that if the other team was vastly superior to me, I wouldn’t play the handicapped team. Actually, I don’t know anyone who would play as a character who might as well be in a wheel chair (no sprint, weaker kill-streak bonuses, ect. vs even stronger marines? You should try one level like that as an Op For and see how you like that).

alright guys, lets keep this simple. cod4 is great. and yes cod 6 is going to have some of the same guns. there are only so many guns used by the major services out there. but lets not use the same maps. they maps in cod4 are good, but lets find some new maps that bring about a whole new spice and flavor. no one wants to spend 60 bucks on they same shit they already have. and activision has shown that they know what they are doing. if you are a cod4 fan, you will love cod6. its that simple.

Yeah most guns are going to be the same, but lets make the weapons choises be more “different” For Example, They have an Assault rifle class which most guns are the same. They need to be more choicy about the guns. Like have a Dual Pistol class.

I agree with anyone who says cod4 was beeter. Cod 6 should have all of cod4 guns, as good maps but with more and should include more modern weapons. Maybe they could add some of the weapons we see in games like ‘army of two’ - e.g. the aug wateva and some of those guns. Then the game would have all of the legendary that cod4 had with awesome guns and lots of variation. The zombie mode idea was good, but cod5 in general sucked ass crack, anyone who likes the ww2 era is a noob…it has been done so many times in ‘moh’ ‘cod’ and ‘brothers in arms’

im just glad to hear that COD6 is NOT going to be a sci-fi genre like resistance but dont get me wrong i liked resistance(although i prefer call of duty no matter WW2 or MW) but i really think that instead of using the old maps from cod4 why not make all new maps and also why not include destructible terrain for extra realism? keep the guns and add extra but whatever they do i hope its not gonna be some kind of man versus alien game but a continuation of where cod4 ended

um, ya, adding some of the maps would be cool, not all of those, id throw in overgrown, strike, maybe pipeline, any would be cool; as for weapons, they probably will put all of the ones from Cod4 back in it would be pretty weird if they expand on the first modern warfare by retracting weapons, so more than likely, they will keep the current ones and add upon the library. the major changes will come from the gameplay , the graphics, and the story.

I hope they keep the competive community in mind while making this game. Seems like the last cod5 that came out was not a very good competitive game at all. I play in several leagues and lan tournys, and was about to give up on the call of duty series until this glimmer of hope came up. or what if they did what gears of war 2 did. in gears of war 2, they took maps from gears of war 1 and changed the climates. for example, canals, a river map, is now snow covered and frozen over. they could possibly make bloc grown over with vegetation and stuff…idk just a thought.
clutch your retarted bringing maps back is stupid, it is more interesting to get to new maps rather then maps you’ve already played. Dermenater ur calling everyone fags yet you took the time to look this game up and read all of these posts then finally write your opinion on it. seems to me that you spend too much time thinking about this stuff as well. As for COD 6 I really hope it is modern warfare 2 because there are plenty of WW1 and WW2 games out there. Yes there are also plenty of modern warfare games as well but most of them sucked compared to COD4 Modern WarFare. And for those that keep saying that another Modern Warfare would be just like adding a map pack well isn’t that exactly what the rest of the COD games are because they are all about WW but with different maps so why not give Modern Warfare 2 a chance.
