BlackBerry’s answer to the Apple iPhone never happened

You would have thought that the launch of the BlackBerry Storm would have helped with Research in Motion (RIM) earnings, but it seems that they just do not have an answer for Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL), and their iPhone 3G.
Although it was a good first attempt by RIM, the Smartphone is not entirely finished, but with a few firmware upgrades should help move it a little closer to the iPhone, but not that close. Research in Motion is putting the blame on the state of the economy, and not the fact that they have produced an inferior handset.
A number of analysts believe that the problems are to do with the troubled launch of both the BlackBerry Bold and Storm, such as delays and problems with both handsets. (RIMM) stocks have fallen much harder than Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) stocks, their shares fell to $38.96 a fall of 66 percent in the same period last year. Apple stocks have lost 42.5 percent in value, or $95.90 per share
