Xbox 360 Arcade: New units feature 256MB internal storage
By: Alan Ng | December 3, 2008 | Leave a CommentWe have news today for gamers hoping to pick up an Xbox 360 console this Christmas as Microsoft have confirmed that the new Arcade units will come with 256MB of internal storage.
In previous versions the Arcade unit came shipped with a 256MB external memory unit, but Microsoft are constantly updating their console as a spokesman stated, ‘we can confirm that we are moving to internal memory for the Xbox 360 Arcade. The physical internal memory is the same size as the previous external memory units – 256MB.’
So while you’ll be able to save all your games and download content straight away, you will still need to purchase an external memory unit if you plan on saving games elsewhere. At least its a good sign that Microsoft are working hard on upgrading their hardware after so many problems. Let us know what you think.
