T-Mobile G1 Phone: New lower UK price
By: Alan Ng | December 3, 2008 | Leave a CommentT-Mobile has slashed down its prices for its exclusive G1 mobile phone. The phone only went on sale on 30th October but already the company have made price reductions in order to be more competitive with other phones on the market.
Originally you were charged a monthly tariff of £40 in order to be able to take the G1 home for free. This new price cut has seen the monthly tariff reduced to £30 with the phone still being free.
A spokesman from T-mobile said: “We have chosen to offer the device free with a £30 contract to make the pricing more competitive in light of recent device launches. We are well on track to achieve our sales forecasts”.
This is great news for consumers looking to pick up a new phone for Christmas time, nothing beats a price cut around the festive period. Also, T-Mobile have stated that customers who purchased the phone on the old deal will receive some sort of compensation if they contact T-Mobile, so it is good news all round.
