GTA 4 on PC: Gamers report fatal error already

Grand Theft Auto IV for the PC has only just been released in North America and Europe, but it appears that gamers have been struck down with a fatal error already which is preventing playing some aspects of the game.

The error gamers are getting is ‘gta iv fatal error mma10’, and it is occurring when you first install the game and are going through the set up stages. Reports over from the official gamesforwindows forums suggest that this problem is internet related and that Rockstar are currently suffering from server problems.

There does seem to be a temporary fix to the problem however as gamers are suggesting that if you skip the ‘Rockstar Social Club’ portion and do not log into it, you’ll be able to carry on through the single player mode of the game.

We will keep you up to date with any fresh news about the error. Are people still having problems with the game? Leave your comments below if you have anything that will help other readers.

I gave up and returned it back to the shop. Now they don’t normally let you do that due to copyright and what not, but and a big BUT it is, I instead baught from the shop a PS3, along with extra cintroller and yea you guessed it GTA IV. I am not a console fan but am a GTA IV fan so its converted me. Now I just have to get used to playing FPS on consoles.

I installed it yesterday (12/30/08) and the only problem that I have is needing an updated graphics card.
