Call of Duty 5 World At War: 2 or 3 map packs on way

Daniel Suarez, executive producer for Call of Duty: World at War has said that they aim to bring out two or three map packs out, stating that the DLC will be different and ‘unusual’ to that which gamers received for CoD: Modern Warfare.
In an interview with MTV Multiplayer he went on to say that the updates are ‘not going to be what we’ve done traditionally’ and that they are aiming to deliver something ‘mysterious’. This is sure to excite CoD players all over the world and spark off a speculation campaign.
What we do know though is that the upcoming DLC for the game will be coming at the beginning of the New Year but that is all that Suarez would let out. What do you guys what to see in World at War? Maybe they will fix the lobby problems as an added Christmas present. Let us know your ideas below!

get rid of the tanks i think it makes the game suck
i disagree i luv the tanks, it add a little more to the game technical wise. in real life do u think there wa no tanks?? i like agame that tries to impersonate real life situations.. especiallly being a realism unit it add depth and fun.. play day of defeat source if u hate tanks. you must suck at blowing them up. heres a hint satchel them!! especially if you have a couple of bros help u its done in secs . they arter easy to kill
I like the tanks, but two rocket shots should kill one. I feel that they are sometimes just to hard to take down…Reduce the damage ever so slightly…..
Don’t get me wrong I love the tanks but they are way to strong for hardcore. Just like a players health, tanks should take less damage to kill in hardcore. I would like to also see bouncing betties have a more realistic range. I mean looking at one 10 feet away should not trigger it and kill you.
The tanks in COD5 have strong side armor. However, you can easily destroy a tank by using a satchel charge against the top or the bottom. Hide behind a short wall. While the tank drives by, toss a satchel in front of it, then detonate it when the tank rolls over it. I believe that this is an instant kill; I have never failed to destroy a tank in this manner. Sticking the top of a tank (not the turret; the top) yields good results but I am not sure if this is an instant kill.
lol they should come out with world at war 2 thats the best.

just takes 2 satchel bags to blow them up. just have to do it right above the tanks in the air and they are done. so i dont mind them tanks easy kills for me.
i think maybe leave the tanks in but put some 88’s on the levels with tanks, something better to destroy them with.
Hehe, 88s are great, I remember them from Call of Duty: united Offensive. I agree with implementing these… and maybe give a limited number of shots to each player regarding tanks, and 88s if they put them in.

i think they should make a map where they have a city/town and the buildings b 3 storyes high and them 2 b blown up alot but be abl 2 use them (all floors) for u who have seen full metal jacket where the sniper is and she takes out 3 men thats how i mean they should make the map
you are a freaking idiot if you think that the tanks make the game more technical. you can barley kill them, they are so overpowered that people get in them and become tank whores. they are stupid and they need to be takin out of the game.

molotovs shud be more effective against them cos the soviets used molotovs to blow tanks up in war by throwing them at the exhaust basicly blowing them up from the inside out.
another thing they shud sort out is making sure one team cant control all the tanks cos that bloody does my head in !!
I think tanks are a good idea, it does add realism into the game.. they just need tweaking a little..
the damage they do is fine!, because you have to aim quite well for someone who is runnin..
I think the amount of things needed to take down isnt too bad at times, but if they were to keep the amount of damage it takes, there should be no respwns..
place say 2/3 tanks in a match, and thats it.. they blow up anad they’re done, because sometimes ppl ride around in tanks kill everyone, then ride to the respwn point and pick up a fresh one, making them too hard to kill.. so they end up with like 25-0..
but if this happend they would need more than 2 rockets to blow up, because no one would use them..
but i think there is a sweet spot for a tank.. im not sure wat it is.. it could be on top of the tank, where the gun is.. im not sure.. all i know is i remember being on top of the balcony in seelow, and a tank was next to me.. i threw a sticky grenade and it killed it in one.. it wasnt exactly on fire before i threw it.. it looked pretty pristine.. so im unsure wether i just had stupid good luck or wether there is a spot where u can kill it in one..

for all of the people who are complaining about the tanks, atl least they did something different from CoD4. I think they are a really good idea and when the other team has all of them it may even finally make you work as a team.
they used molotovs on half tracks not tanks and they should have have half tracks to

Artillery is meant to bomb the whole designated position… not like a missle in one specific target!
Artillery was rather inacurate and used to supress area’s, and please, learn to type.
Tanks should blow up after two satchels not like 3 or 4 or what ever it is
thats why they have different perks to choose from, say fireworks for example, if u use that, then it will only take 2 satchels to blow the tank up
The problem with the tanks is that they are so unrealistic in how much damage they can take. One bazooka to the rear or top should blow them up everytime, just like real life. Stronger armor on the sides and strongest armor on the front would be just like the way it really was. It would also give infantry better options for destroying them. I don’t know why Treyarch didn’t use this system like they did in the UO expansion to the original one. Tanks were deadly but not godly.
Tanks are ok but they need to have more space so the tank can’t sit in one place and hit half the map. Also all you people that think one bazooka to the back of a tank is realistic are fools. In ww2 a german tiger could take at 3 to 6 bazookas to the back and no amount of bazookas could actually kill one from the front or sides. The german tanks outmatched all other tanks in armour and firepower. Speed and numbers was the only advantage the allied tanks had. One tiger could face 6 shermans and take 8 rounds and still operate at full strength, those shermans would be done after one shot from the tiger and the tiger could open fire 400 meters further out which is about 2 or 3 shots off before the shermans could fire.
maybe if you guys were decent at the game you would know how to destroy a tank in one shot. lay a satchel and let the tank run over it and then blow the satchel up. there is no armour under the tank so one satchel will do it. even if the tank is full health. instead of crying about the tanks, just blow them up…

what needs to be with cod5 is when you shoot a dude in the face, he should died not go in to last stand. also get the glithes out. and for the last thing, you should be able to kick down a door in some buildings an houses, that would make the game 10 times better.
i think tanks are the worst idea ever and they make the game very unrealistic. In real war there weren’t tanks just sitting around that any soldier could just jump in and kill the enemy.
They’re hard to take out. But they DID have tanks in WW2. I’d like a playlist where it’s all the game modes without tanks. Maybe an all mercenary playlist also?

i agree but make it a perk instead of just off altogether. makes you sacrifice to see where a guy is shooting from. and by the way cant MW2 AND WAW2 LIVE TOGETHER IN HARMONY? both are great games.

I heard from a reliable source that the executive producer of Call of Duty World at War is makeing more levels for Nazi Zombies for Xbox and PS, because the PC version of CoD:WaW Nazi Zombies has over 50 zombie maps. And thats what ae are thinking they are going to let out late Jan.- early Feb.

I think overall they’ve done a really exceptional job with WaW. The dogs and artillery are a bit annoying on smaller maps, but it was the same with choppers and airstrikes in COD4. I think the only thing they could do for once is release some official “sniper only” maps and options, since snipers were once again a big highlight in this game.
yep well said ive always dreamed of a game of just snipers or not so much specifically sniper maps but like No scopes or like sniper perks and classes only games

I think that they should add more zombie maps they never get boring along with some new maps for online play also they should make the dogs less vicious get more kills then the helicopter in cod4 but the main item they need is more zombie maps

I agree that there definately should be new zombie maps with buyable perks and maybe more mystery boxes. You should be able to buy a mounted machine gun at certain spots in the level, but it eventually runs out of ammo and u can either buy more or get max ammo. I also think that you should be able to use death cards in zombies, I mean how cool would that be. One of the new militplayer maps should be based on Vendetta or the subway in Eviction.
I agree that there should be alot more Nazi Zombie maps. There should also be the weapons of Russia and Japan giving you a better variety of weapons to use. You just start to get bored with the exactly the same map and weapons.
You can use Death cards on Zombie mode. Just set up a private match with which ever cards you want. Then select the zombie map but DONT press A, press the ‘back’ button on your controller. Hey Presto, zombie mode with death cards!

yeah totally agree with you for perks and new zombie maps, wud be interesting that trying to fend them off with just a few decent guns, i get like 20k points n all i can do is get more lol, wud be awesome if we cud like buy a tank or sommit, or go outside, they cud have something like if u go outside the dogs come for you

u can, justjont explained how to get death cards, u get private match, select death cards, change co-op to nazi zombies co-op but dont press A (on 360) or X (on PS3), press back B (360) or O (PS3) and there u go.
Yer i agree with bringing out diff different zombie maps that would bring the zombie mode to a new level. also some more large maps. jungle map with loads of hiding spots. Also a warehouse map would be good with different floors three to four floors would be nice.
