Xbox 360 News: Microsoft Admit Some NXE problems
By: Peter Chubb | December 2, 2008 | 15 CommentsMicrosoft had hoped that with the launch of the new Xbox 360 Experience, all the bad 360 reports would be behind them, sadly that is not the case and Microsoft has admitted that there are some problems with NXE.
Microsoft has now confirmed that a number of Xbox 360’s are suffering from audio output problems by NXE, certain consoles that are connected by HDMI are completely mute. It seems that there is a compatibility issue with NXE’s updated HDCP handshake; this means that a HDMI which has been connected cannot be established.
Microsoft said in a statement “While the vast majority of our users worldwide are enjoying the New Xbox Experience with no problems, we are aware that a handful of Xbox LIVE users are experiencing audio issues, and are diligently monitoring this issue and working towards a solution.”
Things just go from bad to worse for Microsoft, and much to the annoyance 360 owners, this will put a smile on PS3 users faces.
