Microsoft had hoped that with the launch of the new Xbox 360 Experience, all the bad 360 reports would be behind them, sadly that is not the case and Microsoft has admitted that there are some problems with NXE.
Microsoft has now confirmed that a number of Xbox 360’s are suffering from audio output problems by NXE, certain consoles that are connected by HDMI are completely mute. It seems that there is a compatibility issue with NXE’s updated HDCP handshake; this means that a HDMI which has been connected cannot be established.
Microsoft said in a statement “While the vast majority of our users worldwide are enjoying the New Xbox Experience with no problems, we are aware that a handful of Xbox LIVE users are experiencing audio issues, and are diligently monitoring this issue and working towards a solution.”
Things just go from bad to worse for Microsoft, and much to the annoyance 360 owners, this will put a smile on PS3 users faces.

If your 5 years old & your in a playground going, neeer neer neer neer neer!!….
This..so called Product website, does nothing but live off Fan boy hits, “Product Reviews”, do us all a favour, grow up & start doing some proper Product Reviews, yer!?…..
The reason why they are having issues with the HDMI it’s because HDMI was an after thought to M$.
The XBox’s did not come with an HDMI connection at launch. They felt that it was not warranted to have one. Then they found that everyone actually like this connection over component and then they added. Forcing people that wanted it to repurchase the console. Gee, I wonder why their sales skyrocketed with the price drop. Oh, yeah. People are buying replacements now.
Sorry. I could not help myself. Well actually I could of.
@hollywooda, you get mad when they talk bad about Xbox and rant when it bad news about the PS3. Anyways, competition is a great thing for us consumers. It forces Microsoft and Sony to continuously go back to the drawing board and come up with something new and exiciting that will give them the edge. This makes us happy. Example, You have Netflix and I have a blue ray player. Tit for Tat.

Shouldn’t that read “us PS3 users faces”?
There’s only 2 reasons someone would write that, you’re a PS3 fanboy trying to incite 360 owners or lazy journalism. Poor writing in either case.
I think it’s funny how people get defensive about their console.
Don’t get me wrong . i do the same thing.
I just find it ironic and funny how people react when the bad news is about something that they hold dear to their hearts.
I own both consoles & was always a Playstation man, even when they crushed my beloved SEGA. But i just cant understand the shear blinkered view that people have this generation, if ur a gamer then its obvious that the PS3 hasn’t reached its potential this gen…YET!, but the 360 has delivered quality titles consistently since its launch, until that stops happening I’ll prefer & back the 360 more….warts & all.
I agree about the quality of the Xbox 360 games. I am just having a little fun. I am glad to hear that you own a PS3.
And in all honesty, this site (at least the gaming side) encourages the console war to drive traffic.
Here is to hoping to the Potential of the PS3 realized.
I hope so too!!, otherwise i better start buying more blu-ray’s!!. haha. In a perfect world all gamers would be united under one common interest…. but where’s the fun in that! & as you said, it help keep MS & Sony on their toes…
I hope no one thought I was being defensive about my console, as I own and love both the 360 and PS3. I also own a Wii though I love that a little less
It’s just tedious some of the stuff that’s written on the site, or rather the way it’s written. It’s only the reader’s comments that make it worth sticking with.
Nothing wrong with defending a console you like, or a game, its just when its people being unreasonable or websites like this constantly starting up fanboy wars & putting stupid comments. I don’t know why some people cant say they like something on the 360/PS3 without the next line being something derogatory about the 360/PS3!?…. If u like something then cool, but don’t then point the finger at someone else who choose something different & make out their an idiot.
The comments do keep me coming back.
