O2 Green Universal Charger: 70 percent more efficient

O2 has released a Universal Charger which will cut energy consumption as much as 70 percent when compared to standard mobile phone chargers.

This charger is the first product of its kind to be launched by a UK operator as the phone company hope people will jump on board thanks to this new money saving device.

The charger will cut power when your phone is fully charged and O2 say this will potentially save British phone users £30m a year.

The charger is available now from all O2 retailers at a price of £14.99. They are also offering the charger for £7.49 when bought with a handset deal.
