Medion GoPal P5235, P5435 and X5535 GPS with fingerprint scanners
By: Peter Chubb | December 2, 2008 | 2 CommentsMEDION are introducing three new GPS personal navigation devices, GoPal P5235, P5435 and the X5535. All three systems uses a fingerprint scanner, this added security feature is an extra theft-deterrent. Medion have got together with AuthenTec to implement this security feature.
Users are able to store up to five fingerprints, by using the AES1510 fingerprint sensor which is in use in millions of cellphones. Users can then log in and use each of the devices, this added feature means that only authorized users can use the new GPS systems.
Medion have said that GPS theft is on the rise, so the use of technology is much needed. The GoPal P5235 has voice control, the GoPal P5435 also has Bluetooth support, and the X5535 has a built-in gyrometer, in case the sat-nav has a sudden loss of GPS signal.
