Google Earth Street View launched in New Zealand

Google are launching Street View all over the world at a fast rate, and New Zealand is just the latest. So if you are a resident of New Zealand, then you will not have to leave the comfort of your own home to explore your country.

The NZ version is available as a layer in Street View on Google Earth, and it allows users to navigate 360 degree street level images of New Zealand’s cities, regions, remote areas and towns. Google have said that the world will now be able to see parts of New Zealand that has never been seen before.

Google hopes that Google Earth Street View will encourage people of New Zealand to get out and explore more of their land. There are those who are worried that the new Street View imagery for NZ will allow criminals to check out their potential victims.
