Facebook Web Browser: Connect with other sites
By: Peter Chubb | December 2, 2008 | 1 CommentFaceBook has now launched their new service called Connect, which will allow FaceBook users to connect with another site via the networking portal. This means that a FaceBook user can use their login details to gain access to other sites.
The first sites that will be linking with Connect are Digg, Discovery Channel, and Hulu. Connect was first announced back in May, and is FaceBooks’s attempt to rivals such as MySpace who also use a similar system.
FaceBook know that Connect is a great system, as users can all gather to watch a video from Hula, and then chat about it to each other, all under one roof. Both FaceBook and MySpace know that by making their social network sites an all-encompassing portal, it will then become more attractive to advertisers.
