Asustek is introducing a Celeron version of the Eee Box
Filed under: Computers, Desktops

Asustek introduced their nettop products four months ago, and sales have not been that great, but ASUS are hoping that by introducing a Celeron version of the Eee Box, it will help to increase their shipments before the year is out.
Asustek are replacing the Atom processor that is currently being used in favor of the Intel Celeron 220 processor. The Eee Box will also come with a 120GB hard drive and will have a price of NT$7,988 (US$240), for the bare bones system.
The Asus Celeron Eee Box with a 19-inch monitor will cost NT$11,900. For those wanting an Eee Box with an Atom processor, along with an 80GB hard drive, keyboard and mouse and an Eee Stick, then that price will be NT$9,999.
