Xbox 360′s Gears of War 2 and Complaints by Gamers
By: Alan Ng | December 1, 2008 | 8 CommentsDo you think Gears of War 2 is a worthy successor of the first title? The game has many positive points, but sadly it also suffers from a range of faults that have left many gamers unhappy.
While the single-player mode is fantastic and offers a lot of fun with friends, it is the multi-player portion of the game that ultimately gets judged by gamers. There are two key issues with the multiplayer mode of the game; two key issues that gamers hope are going to get patched up in the near future.
The first is the weapons available in the game and how unbalanced they are. Gamers have been complaining that the Lancer is now too powerful, while the Shotgun is pretty much useless and completely different compared to the weapon in the first game.
The other issue and the most frustrating one for gamers is the problem with lag in online matches.
This is due to the troublesome ‘Match-making’ part of the game where it often puts you in random matches from people all over the world, for example American gamers getting thrown into a European server, resulting in a not so enjoyable experience for gamers.
What do you think about the current problems? Surely Epic are aware of fixes they need to implement by now, hopefully it isn’t too long before we hear of an upcoming patch.
