Apple has produced a Red Special Edition of their iPod Shuffle and Nano, as well as iTunes Gift Cards. Apple will give a percentage of the purchase price to the Global Fund, which has been set up to fight AIDS in Africa.
This could not be a better time to announce this new Red Special Edition iPod Shuffle and Nano, as today is World AIDS Day. The sad fact is, more than 4,400 people die each day from AIDS in sub-Saharan Africa, and 2,000 children become infected with HIV each day.
Since (PRODUCT) RED was first launched, up to 50% of the gross profit has been used towards the fight of AIDS in Africa. (PRODUCT) RED has helped to generate $100 million for the Global Fund, consumers know that just by making that choice of Red, they are helping thousands of Woman and Children who have this terrible illness.

You got to love it when companies give a little.
I think that it is good that companies support other causes just like this one.
Everywhere I look it says that iPod is giving “will give a percentage of the purchase price” to fight AIDS in Africa. What percentage? How much are we talking? Does anybody know? How can I find out?
