We knew that the Nikon DX3 DSLR was coming, and the recent showing of the camera in its own magazine was proof enough. There has not been any official word from Nikon, until now that is; the Nikon DX3 DSLR has now been made official.

Nikon has now decided to show off their latest camera, and have offered up some pics as well as the specs list and price. The camera has a massive 24.5-megapixel, some of the features include, full resolution shooting at 5 FPS, ISO from 100-1600, CMOS FX format sensor JPEG, NEF and TIFF file formats up to 138MB.

The Nikon D3X DSLR is a top-tier digital camera, so do not expect it to come cheap. The camera will hit stores sometime this month, and will have a price of $7,995.95. You certainly have to love taking photos, to warrant spending that kind of money.
