Combined PS3 and Xbox 360 Controller Mod: would you buy it?

When it comes to mod’s, Ben Heck certainly knows what he is doing and he has worked his magic on a combined Sony PS3 and Xbox 360 controller. This super controller takes the best from both console controller’s and makes the ultimate one, but is it any good.
Both controllers have their good and bad points, as they work best with certain games. When it comes to driving and first person shooter games, then the Xbox 360 controller is the perfect choice. If you were to play a fighting game, then the Sony PS3 controller is ideal.
Knowing this, Ben wanted to take what is good from both controllers and add them together to give us just one controller that does the lot. It is not known what system this mod works on, hopefully it will be the PS3. I know that the Sony PS3 Dual Shock is much better, but the Xbox 360 controller feels more comfortable to hold.

I wouldnt say the ps3 dual shock controller is much better at all. I’d go for the 360 controller everytime. I think it has better triggers and is a lot more comfortable after holding it for a while. One problem is the d-pads rubbish but we all know that. D-pad might be better on that modded one.
If you’re gonna mod the 360 controller i’d just change the d-pad for a Sega Saturn one, then you’ve got the best controller money can buy, Saturn pads were always the best for fighting games and the 360 pad is the best there is for all other genres.
Theres some decent third party controllers but in my experience they always break, especially logitec.
i think thats it’s a great idea, but i would have the ps3 control shape, as i think the xbox’s is too bulky.
Hi there would i buy it hell yeah? if its playable on the xbox 360 cause that controller i really need it for fighting games and I love the ps3 d-pad on a xbox 360 controller that is so cool!! If its playable for the xbox 360 and you sell them I would buy them. so please keep me posted and let me know. thanks
I would buy it in a heartbeat. The xbox 360 controller kills the ps3 controller in comfort but nothing beats that playstation d-pad
im not even joking with you, i wouyld soooo love that shit, im a DoA 4 pro and will be passing my skills up to SF4 and i have lost many matches because of the stupid moves not pulling out when i want them to on DoA 4, when street fighter 2 hit xbox live i couldn’t even pull a fire ball at will O_o WTF!!! i though, so i passed that game straight up and im scared about playing SF4 because i know im gona suck without moves
please sell this so i can be a SF4 pro like i allways dreamed :S
ok this is ideal.. i would sooo buy this off you.. i hope mircrosoft bring out a 360 controller with this d-pad.. coz we all know as the article stated the d-pad on a ps3 owns for fighting games but other than that the pad sucks.. oh wait no the pad is lighter than a xbox one and can be charged without having to buy anything extra. if you are selling this mod for xbox 360 i would love to buy it off you. so long as you can prove it works of course. let me know XD
Hell yeah i would buy that! I would love that for my PS3. Especially with the PS style d-pad. For me the only real selling point for an Xbox is the controller. Where can I find one of these
im pro ps3, mostly for the controller (though there are other main reasons not be mentioned) and i have lots of friends whos have ps3 so its all good. But there is still way good games on xbox that i do wanna play and would buy a 360 for them, but i just cant use that bulky 360 controller. (yeah i know you probably think im crazy well whatever, honestly i dont care what you think about me). It just doesnt fit me i guess, it dosent have that analog symmetry and amazing d-pad that i basically grew up playing games with and recently those big trigger r2/l2 buttons that came with ps3.
so setting console preference aside, if anyone, Ben Heck included can get me a controller that has that analog symmetry with the ps3 analog sticks, amazing ps3 d-pad, those big trigger buttons in the back from ps3 controller, and still works with the xbox 360 console and everyting ALL in the ps3 shell, definately hit me up cause i WILL buy it. (basically i want a ps3 controller with several 360 buttons and the headphone jack at the bottom of too, i want it.)
So if ya got anything relatively close to that i want it, we’ll work out the details later

i’d buy it if it worked on all consoles even ps2 cause the ps2 d-pad sucks just as the 360 d-pad does bonus if it works well with 2d fighters
