No Final Fantasy XIII betrayal says Square-Enix
By: Alan Ng | November 28, 2008 | 13 CommentsIf there is a bunch of you out there who are still disappointed with the fact that Final Fantasy XIII will be on the Xbox 360, then you might want to hear Square Enix’ Corporate Director Shinji Hashimotos recent comments.
When speaking to Kikizo, he explained that fans shouldn’t be disappointed with the recent events of the game and pointed out that the PS3 version won’t be delayed or cut down to size as a result of the multiplatform announcement.
He went on to explain, “I’d rather they not think of [Final Fantasy XIII on Xbox 360] as a ‘betrayal’ or disappointment. It’s not like we’re cancelling or delaying the PS3 version at all! It’s more of an added bonus for 360 fans. We won’t be putting them at a disadvantage in any way.”
He also pointed the fact out that the PS3 version of the game will be developed first, maximizing the consoles capabilities. Only after that is completed will they then begin work on a Xbox 360 port, optimizing it for Microsoft’s hardware.
All in all then, quite good news for you PS3 gamers out there who were slightly worried about the development of the game. Let us know your comments on this story below.
