Thanksgiving Day is usually a time to spend with your family, but due to the economic situation occurring at the moment, many retailers are using Thanksgiving Day to offer special deals to persuade customers to start trading early.
Traditionally, the holiday shopping starts on the Friday after Thanksgiving usually known as Black Friday. Retailers though are starting to worry about the economy and fear they could be losing billions of dollars by starting on the Friday, instead of on the Thanksgiving Thursday where they could be making up to 40 percent of annual sales.
Retail experts are predicting this year’s holiday sales could be the worst season since the early 1990s as Americans have bit hit hard financially due to housing slumps and the credit crunch.
I wonder if the situation is really as bad as everyone is saying it is, what do you guys think? What’s more important for you on Thanksgiving, spending time with family or getting a good deal?”
