There have been rumors for a while now about a possible Sony PSP 2 in the works; we know for certain that Sony has plans for a new version, as they strive to offer consumers the best gaming handheld experience.
Hopefully Sony has moved a step closer to giving us a new PlayStation Portable, with the news that they have signed a deal with Imagination Technologies Group plc. The company is the licensor of graphics processor cores, and their latest GPU is the POWERVR SGX graphics.
Sources have said that Imagination are to provide an upgrade for the Sony PSP 2, and they will provide a SGX graphics processor core, which is expected to be the SGX55x. Imagination already provide the PowerVR MBX, which is used in the Apple iPhone 3G.

This Phone would be a breakthrough in Technology .. but it would have to have a touch screen for internet surfing and it should play movies,mp3,youtube and have a small HD -screen and wi fi… and it would make it the only way to improve the handle held gaming world since …. I hope psp 2 make some way for you to download playstation one and PS2 games as apps kinda like the Iphone … it be would great if they make up for what the n-gage did to game/phones… I think the psp2 should also interact with the ps3 both as a wireless controller and a way to play online with ps3 and psp2 players ….if noting else it should be the iphone meets the ps3
