Nokia’s Z-Wave Home Control Center launching in 2009

Nokia have announced a James Bond gadget like solution that will allow you to control your lighting, thermostat and security system from your cellphone.

Nokia are calling this intriguing idea it’s ‘Home Control Center’ and they hope it will be available in Europe at the end of 2009. The platform will be open for third parties to develop ‘plug and play’ solutions and these will be controlled via your phone or PC. That’s not all as Nokia’s HCC will allow home owners to switch devices on and off as they monitor things such as electricity usage, sounds like a fantastic idea.

This technology is obviously in development at the moment and Nokia say their remote access will only require a web browser. If you have that, you’ll be able to manage your home easily.     Nokia is a world giant in mobile technology and nothing less than a great technology is expected from it. This is so awsome, you can expect controlling whole of the house by a small mobile… great.
