Thanksgiving Day, is a harvest festival, and is a time when you are meant to give thanks for the harvest, as well as expressing your gratitude in general. This holiday is celebrated in North America, and is a national holiday.
It is not certain when the first Thanksgiving was celebrated, but the earliest reported celebrations dates back to 1621 and occurred at the site of Plymouth Plantation. Thanksgiving is celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November in the United States.
