Xbox 360 News: Halo 3 Recon Now Halo 3 ODST

Halo 3 Recon was going to be the new pack for the popular Xbox 360 game, but it now looks as though the game will now be called Halo 3 ODST. The new title is meant to be a more straightforward experience that awaits the player once they start to play the game.
In the new game pack you will get to walk the streets of Mombasa, well when I say walk, I mean fight for your life. None of the gameplay has changed to what we knew before, just the title which should be due for release some time next fall.
ODST stands for Orbital Drop Shock Trooper; this is a special force branch of the UNSC military which is called into action for specialized operations. The special units have features in sections of Halo 2 and 3, as well as in Halo novels. It is not certain as to why Bungie went and changed the name from Halo recon to Halo ODST, maybe they needed to create some more publicity for the game.
