With the global economy in its worrying state at the moment, retailers have decided to make the most out of this week’s Black Friday deals to tempt customers with big savings on their products.
Unlike previous Thanksgiving periods, retailers are now using the internet to promote their big sales early, in a move to get shoppers aware and ready for the Black Friday savings. Incentives such as 70 percent discounts and early ‘first come first serve’ items are often used by retailers to create online interest, resulting in increased sales in the future.
Big retailers such as Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart and Target have begun to offer online deals and promotions early. Amazon opened up a dedicated Black Friday webpage offering deals that would run now until December. Some of their standout deals include 42inch Panasonic and Samsung plasma TV’s for 700$ each, with original prices at $1,200 and $1,000, so saving customers a lot of money. Other deals included a Sony Vaio laptop for $800 and also a sweepstakes draw where shoppers enter for a chance to win $10,000 online with Amazon choosing winners randomly.
Best Buy is offering ‘doorbuster’ specials which will start this Thanksgiving. Head on to their website to see more information on this. Wal-Mart’s specials include a Nikon Coolpix L16 7 megapixel digital camera for just $94 and a Phillips 7-inch portable DVD player for $90.
