Black Friday has been popular for years now, and has always seen shoppers flocking to stores to pick up a great deal in the build up to the holiday season. Cyber Monday is also another day where shoppers can get themselves a huge deal, buy bagging the deal online.
Maritz has run a recent poll, and it shows that 26 percent of those who took part in the poll said they will shop online on Cyber Monday; this figure is up 20 percent from 2007. The same poll revealed that 41 percent of shoppers will go for their deals on Black Friday, 37 percent higher than 2007.
It is no secret that people’s budgets are a lot tighter this year, so Black Friday and Cyber Monday needs to be extra special this year. I have been asking around, and most of my friends and family said that they do like to get deals on Black Friday, but they do not like the idea of going to the stores early in the morning and trying to push your way past another person to get into the store before them. I prefer to get my deals online, I hate all those crowds, what’s the point, and I am not alone in that thought.
