What makes you buy a PS3, Xbox 360, or Wii game?

As we head into the Christmas period, what is the deciding factor in making you part with your cash for games? Do you take price into consideration the most or others like website reviews?

There are a lot of decisions that most gamers make before gamers buy their games and consoles. Some take into account, price, reviews, developers, publishers, or even how well a previous title in a series did, which one of these applies to you?

Personally I always read reviews from a bunch of well respected gaming sites. If a particular game has received good reviews from everywhere, then I’m most likely to give it a chance. On the other hand, if it is a title from a successful series like Resident Evil or a Final Fantasy then I’m more inclined to just head out and buy it anyway regardless of reviews.

    The only games i’ve bought new this gen are Halo 3, GTA 4 and Saints Row 2, every other game i’ve waited and bought used for a fraction of the price, Forza 2 i’d probably have bought new but it came with the console. It’s not that i can’t afford to buy new games, it’s just that i’m quite patient and there’s always plenty in my collection to keep me going until they become cheap. Halo 3 was a must buy day 1 for me though and GTA 4 + SR 2 as i’m a huge fan of sanbox games.
    Looking forward to Fallout 3, Fable 2, Gears 2, BK nuts & bolts and Left 4 Dead making their way to the preowned section :)

    i like checking out reviews of new type of games such as pure, stranglehold..
    they are really awesum games

    im into japanese style games as well like
    1: final fantasy
    2. resident evil
    3. tekken
    4.street fighter
    5.soul calibur
    6.devil may cry

    good thing is that all these will be on xbox 360 !!
