Verizon Wireless has had to fire a number of their workers for snooping at the call records of President-elect Barack Obama earlier in the year. It is not known how many workers the cell phone carrier has had to fire.
Verizon has apologized to Barack Obama for the breach, when questioned about the sacking of their workers; Verizon refused to answers any questions today, which first came to light from a CNN story.
On Friday, CNN had quoted a source by saying that a number of Verizon workers had been fired for looking at the call records of Barack Obama. The cell phone account had been inactive for a few months, and the source said that the workers would not have been able to read any text messages that had been sent.
