T-Mobile G1 Phone now has multi-touch via software
By: Peter Chubb | November 24, 2008 | Leave a CommentWhen T-Mobile launched the G1 it was evident that this would not be as popular a phone as the Apple iPhone. The G1 as we know is the first handset to feature the Google Android system, and has been made by HTC.
There is a lot to like about the new handset, but then there is also a lot to dislike at the same. One of the dislikes was the lack of a headphone jack; also the lack of multi-touch was the biggest problem for the phone.
It was only a matter of time before a coder got their hands on the T-Mobile G1 and rectified this oversight. Ryan Gardner has written an app for the G1, and has proved that having multi-touch is not a hardware problem, just a software one. Watch the video below, to see it in action.
