Pocket-lint have recently given their full hands-on review of Virgin Media Mobile Broadband and they give you the good, the bad, their verdict and of course details about the product itself. So will Virgin Media Mobile Broadband be any good or will it simply be a product that should go into the rubbish bin?
Well first of all those who are existing cable customers who are either the Virgin Media’s XL or L broadband packages or indeed the Virgin Media’s ADSL “Bundle 1″ will be happy to know that they are being offered mobile broadband with 1GB data allowance for only £5 per month, which come on has to be one of the cheapest packages of all time in the UK.
Now if you choose that you do want the 1GB bundle you should know that Virgin will charge you for each GB over the users limit at £15, if you are NOT a Virgin customer you can sign up to an 18-month contract for £15 per month which will get you 3GB data allowance.
Pocket-lint says that Virgin Media Mobile Broadband is good because it has an easy set-up and interface and that the hardware is pretty decent. However the bad points about Virgin Media Mobile Broadband are down to not being the fastest speeds available and that Virgin’s 3G coverage is not one of the best. Their overall verdict says that it has a solid hardware offering with a simple set up, but they do say “check coverage before taking the plunge”.

Hello Product Review,
I use Virgin Media broadband (ASDL) and would like to mention my experience with their Technical Support. Probably similar to other likewise services, rubbish. I complained that my broadband service was incredibly slow and the conclusion given was the fault of my PC.
Having had to re-install Virgin Media broadband again after a PC crash, the speed of the broadband has improved beyond belief.
So some good came from the disaster of the crash and confirmed my thoughts about the Technical Support service from Virgin.
