At the end of last week there was an update to the iPhone firmware, which was version 2.2. Jailbreakers have been working overtime to try and offer support for the new firmware update, and now QuickPwn and PwnageTool both now support update 2.2.
I do not support the idea of jailbreaking, but we have to report the news as we see it. The iPhone Dev Team has warned that if you wish to unlock your iPhone 3G in the future, then you should only use the PwnageTool, not the QuickPwn.
A number of iPhone users are already complaining about problems with the new 2.2 firmware, such as lock-ups and email issues. The biggest complaint is the lack of copy and paste yet again, how long do we have to wait until Apple gives us an update that we really want.
