Mirrors Edge is available to buy now for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. We have some news about how well this game has sold during its first week on sale in the US and UK.
In Europe, the game did not sell particularly well on its first week on sale. The PS3 version sold just over 30,000 copies, while the Xbox 360 managed just under 30,000 copies. While this wasn’t too great over in Europe, the game did a little better over in the US.
This time, it was the 360 which managed to shift more copies, as they hit 59,285 compared to the PS3’s 29,173. That means over in the US, the 360 version sold almost twice as many as Sony’s console which is quite interesting.

“That means over in the US, the 360 version sold almost twice as many as Sony’s console which is quite interesting.”
Why is this quite interesting? The 360 has far outsold the PS3 in the american market. Thusly if 10% of people who own a console buy Mirror’s Edge then probably twice as many will be buying it for their XBox as their PS.
Trying to create a story out of nothing perhaps?
Also selling a quarter million copies in the first week is pretty good going for any game without an established IP, another attempt at a eye catching headline perhaps?
So the game flopped really badly.
Yeah. They are trying to make a mountain out of ant hill.
The 360 will ALWAYS sell more games becuase it’s INSTALL BASE is larger.
The story will only occur where the system of the larger install base is out sold by the system of the smaller install base.
Why is this? It may be short but the gameplay itself is among the best I’ve ever played, and the graphics are gorgeous!
