
Microsoft Xbox 360 gets The Guild exclusive
By: Peter Chubb | November 24, 2008 | Leave a CommentMicrosoft have signed a deal which gives them the exclusive to second season of The Guild, meaning that the show will be streamed to their Xbox 360 Live Marketplace, as well as MSN and Zune. Sprint has signed up to sponsor all 12 episodes of The Guild.
They are the first to test Microsoft’s new add strategy, which will see ads targeted at users on the gaming console, on the Internet as well as their media players. The added benefit of having the Guild on the Xbox 360 is that the show will be distributed day-and-date in 9 languages across 26 countries.
The Guild is a scripted comedy which follows the lives of a group of online gamers, the new season will premiere on Tuesday. The Guild is just one of a number of shows that will be made available through the Xbox 360, and more are likely to come.
