Final Fantasy XIII On 360 with Multi-Disc

Those of you who are hoping to pick up Final Fantasy XIII on the Xbox 360 might want to know that it could be coming on several discs.

The Last Remnant, also by Square-Enix was released onto the 360 last week and that required two discs. It is almost a certain fact that Final Fantasy is going to be a huge game in terms of storage space, and if LR required two, it is unknown how many discs Final Fantasy XIII may require.

It is also notable however that, Final Fantasy will be built on Square-Enix’ crystal tools engine, and won’t use the same engine that was used for Last Remnant (unreal engine 3). While this may not be of any concern to Xbox owners out there, it is just a bit of information for you guys to discuss about.

With the ability to load game to the HD that isn’t really an issue and even if you play it form the Disk, Who cares.

I care. I’m going to be buying it on Playstation 3 – since that’s what it was INTENDED to be played on, and I like the graphics, gonna love the storyline, like most JRPGs. I don’t care what engine it’s running on as long as it runs. Last Remnant looks like clay-mation, just my opinion. Hopefully, the same director who made FFXII will not be making any part of this game (i.e. character development, in-game music, or plot) Bleh.

    Good luck.

Which ever platform a game is on, that’s what the devs INTENDED it to be played on. :)

As for FFXIII coming on multiple discs on the 360….well duh! ;) . It’s not “that it could be coming on several discs”, it’s that it WILL be coming on multiple discs, but how many discs remains to be seen (as stated by the devs themselves).

Blue Dragon was released on 3 discs.
