Another Look: PS3 Dualshock 3 vs Xbox 360 Gamepad

Where do you stand on the Dual shock 3 vs. Xbox 360 gaming pads? Gamer.blorge has written a very interesting article in which they analyse both pads in a variety of games.

Most owners of the Xbox and PS3 will most likely choose their own consoles pads as a choice of preference, but this article may help you to know how each pads perform when tested on a variety of games.

Firstly the pads were tested on a fighting game, where attention would lie on the performance of the d-pads. This was followed by a racing game, where the pads back triggers were put to the test. The last game tested was a first person shooter, where much emphasis was put on the performance of the analogue sticks.

Check out the link below if you are curious to see the results. Which pad do you think performs best on a whole?

i Own a PS3, but i would much rather the Xbox 360 controller. When i have spent many hours on a driving game, my knuckles tend to hurt. That has never happened to me when i have played on my cousins Xbox 360 controller. When the Xbox 360 controller first came out i had to laugh at the size of it, they did reduce it a little, but it was still big. The Sony gave us the smaller lighter PS3 controller. Now i wish a i never made fun of the 360 controller. Please sony change th design slightly.

The only thing on the 360’s Gamepad that i think could be improved is the D-pad, other than that i think it’s very near perfection, the Sega Saturn had the best D-pad of any controller i’ve ever tried so if i could swap d-pad i’d make them mimic the Saturnn’s, having said that it only really applies to Beat ‘em ups and i rarely play them anymore, in most cases they are only really used for sellecting weapons or inventory which work fine but in a perfect world the D-pad’s could be improved.
I don’t really like the feel and layout of Playstation controllers but that’s a personal preference, i’m not suggesting one is better than the other, that’s a fanboy arguement in the making and i’m not lowering myself to stupid fanboy arguements.

Yeah, noting GamerBlorge and including ‘interesting’ or ‘analyse’ in the same sentence is laughable. Its a haven for trolls and fanboys alike, and the guys who ‘write’ said articles are some of the biggest fucking douches out there – in fact, a lot of it is plagiarised from other sources.
At first its funny to read some of the comments on there – but after a while you realise that these people are just as retarded as the admins of GB.
