Nintendo DSi Sales: More Than Wii, PS3, 360, PS2 Combined
By: Alan Ng | November 21, 2008
Latest figures have shown that Nintendo is continuing to dominate gaming sales, as their handheld system the DSi sold more than 85,000 units, which is higher than all of the other consoles combined.
It’s quite hard to believe that while we all sit at home playing our consoles, the Nintendo DSi is the one that has sold more units than the 360, PS3 and Wii put together. The DSi’s closest competitor the Sony PSP could only ‘manage’ to sell 38k units, having said that its big brother the PS3 shifted 17k units, these Japanese figures do seem a bit strange at times.
Anyway, the figures do not lie, and Nintendo are obviously doing a great job of cracking the Japanese market. For a full list of the figures and an accompanying chart, please follow the link below.
