If you have been living on another planet, you will know that the BlackBerry Storm lands tomorrow on Verizon. A number of reviewers managed to get their hands on one of RIM’s latest handsets, and the reviews were mixed.
When people started to try out the review handsets it was all smiles at first, but once they spent a little more time with them, there were different reactions. When you see the advertisements on TV, you can’t help but want to love the Storm, as we all have a secret loving for a BlackBerry.
IntoMobile have given an extensive review of the phone, and most of what they say makes perfect sense. They know that the BlackBerry Storm is not perfect, but it is the best BlackBerry from RIM so far. They did notice that the review unit suffered with lag issue, but they say that this should be fixed with some sort of an update from Verizon Wireless and RIM.

I was one of the people waiting for this phone. I have to admit, I was dissappointed. It was approx. a 3 second delay on commands. And, I found it a little difficult to navigate. The store technicians offered no excuse for the delay in response, other than ‘I haven’t really had a chance to play with it yet’. One Verizon rep. said that the ones he sold were perfect, but he still couldn’t explain why the display was slow. Overalll I will wait on it….too much hype maybe, but I was dissappointed!!
Its a cool phone but just trying to open an application the phone froze…… I definitly have some mixed feelings on this phone. I hope they come out with an OS upgrade that will speed it up.
Tried this phone for one week. Returned it and am back together again with the BB Curve. Too much lag time and delays. Phone froze several times and had to remove the battery. Hard for ladies with long nails. Takes too long to type. It’s a great looking cool phone, but RIM has lots of upgrades to make to even come close to the Iphone.
