Runcore MLC SSD: 70Mbps read and 50Mbps write
By: Daniel Chubb | November 20, 2008 | Leave a CommentIs the world of Solid State Disk (SSD) technology getting faster? And of course will they get nosier? So many questions, anyway below is a video of the Runcore MLC SSD in action on how fast they really are and some speed tests to show it off.
Runcore offer you a lot more than the average SSD with speeds of 70Mbps read and 50Mbps write which is pretty good when you think about it, the best part of the above is the price. Yes indeed the price looks good at only $70 for 16GB, $199 for 64GB and even the most expensive is cheap really at $389 for 128GB.
Think about it like this, the Acer Aspire One Netbook came in at only 37 MBps read and only 3 Mbps write. Personally we would go for the Runcore 16GB module or higher. Please watch the video below and let us know what you think.
