Nokia 5800 XpressMusic Price Confusion

The official launch date in selected markets for the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic is fast approaching, and it seems the price confusion has left many with a sour taste in their mouth. It is this price confusion that could affect the sale of the new Nokia handset.
Those potential buyers in Spain were not happy with the thought of paying EUR 429, instead of the promised EUR 279. So we are left with the question “Why a higher price.” Eldar Murtazin from Mobile Review has now resolved the mystery over the price confusion of the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic.
Murtazin has been speaking to his sources over at Nokia, where they state that the base price for the 5800 should still be EUR 279 before subsidies and tax. Nokia did add that each country is free to offer a number of bundle choices, which will affect the price of the handset.
