Microsoft’s Zune Pass: Keep 10 tracks per month
Filed under: Computers, Software

Microsoft’s Zune Pass subscription service has always been good value for money if you listen to a lot of music, for $14.99 you could download unlimited music all the time you are subscribed.
Today we have heard that Microsoft have made a welcomed change to Zune Pass and it includes the new feature of downloading and keeping 10 DRM-free tracks a month, which are yours even after you end the subscription.
These 10 free monthly songs can be moved between MP3 players whenever you like and can be burned to disc, this is unlike the normal tracks that subscribers download, these are temporary downloads that can be played on up to three Zune devices and three computers.
Microsoft also said that they have Universal Music Group and Sony BMG in the Zune Marketplace with their music DRM-free. So do you still use iTunes or are you thinking about moving to Zune Pass?

I have not used zunepass but it sounds like a ripoff to me. If you buy itunes the mp3 download is yours forever and you can use it on any device you want at $1 per song. From what I have read about zunepass, you only get to ‘keep’ 10 songs per month at 15 bucks. So, $15 for 10 songs = $1.50 for each song you get to keep (all your other “unlimited” downloads are temporary). How is that a better deal? I would rather use my iphone and listen to pandora for free.
