Installed NXE: Halo 3 runs slower say Bungie

Due to the ‘New Xbox Experience’, Bungie’s hit shooter Halo 3 will suffer from increased load times if you install the game to the console’s HDD. Today Bungie has issued a statement regarding the issue.

While the NXE comes with many new features, one of its main new additions was the ability to install games directly to the HDD, thus making some games perform better. Bungie however have stated that Halo 3 will perform SLOWER once installed to the HDD, and will have increased loading times compared to using the disc.

They said ultimately that the reason was that Halo 3 was shipped some time before Microsoft had finalized this new feature. They also informed gamers not to expect an update with a possible solution any time soon; at least they were being honest with their customers. Read the whole article below.
