Apple OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard coming 2009 Q1
Filed under: Computers, Storage

Apple’s Jordan Hubbard was invited to LISA ‘08 last week, and was asked to speak about the evolution of Mac OS X. Something else came out of the conversation as well, Apple OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard will be coming out in Q1 of 2009.
Snow Leopard was first previewed at the Worldwide Developers Conference 2008, but a specific date was not given. News that Apple OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard will be coming in the first part of 2009 is much sooner that people had expected.
Apple has said that the new Operating Software will focus on both quality and performance. Apple has been working hard to improve the support for multi-core processors and GPU processing, and hopefully Snow Leopard will be able to achieve just that.
