Xbox 360’s Lips: Guitar Hero / Rock Band not supported by mic

What do you get if you put Xbox 360’s Lips, Guitar Hero, Rock Band and mic together? Well basically nothing because Guitar Hero/Rock Band are not supported by mic.

Head of Lips developer iNiS, Keiichi Yano said that yes making the mic from the game work with games such as Rock Band and Guitar Hero: World Tour is a fantastic idea and would love to do it, but the bad news is that the mic would not with these sort of games out of the box.

However a patch could be in the making at a later date, the lips device is not only a USB mic, wish it was as simple as plugging the mic in but it is not. Microsoft’s karaoke game “Lips” is very good but the accelerometer-enhanced microphone will only work with Lips once launched.
